Situation

A client spoke to her financial adviser about the US company shares she inherited from her late husband.  Every year she receives annual dividends in US Dollars.

When the USD are sent to her GBP account the client is left out of pocket because the sender’s bank apply their own rate of exchange.

The client approached their financial adviser to see if they knew how she could receive more of the dividend payments instead of the bank eating away at it with their charges.

Outcome

The financial adviser spoke to their Partnership Manager at TorFX who explained that their services would benefit his client’s situation in a few simple steps:

  1. Adviser refers client to TorFX through Partners Portal
  2. Client is assigned a dedicated account manager who contacts them within 20 minutes (during working hours or unless adviser stipulates otherwise) to discuss their requirements.
  3. If client wants to use the service they register with TorFX either by completing a short online form or over the phone with account manager.
  4. When registered TorFX will provide the client with TorFX USD account details for her to share with the dividend provider.
  5. When the USD has arrived with TorFX, the client secures a much-improved rate of exchange with her account manager or through the online trading platform and TorFX transfers into GBP to her bank account.
