While this week’s news that Automatic Enrolment is to be extended has been widely welcomed by the industry, the pensions gap remains a serious problem for the UK economy as well as many advisers’ clients.
But this situation, although it’s bad enough for males, is even worse for females.
How can we solve the gender pensions gap?
Sue and Brandon’s podcast guest this week is Caitlin Southall of Pension provider Curtis Banks. Yes, they’ll be talking about pensions, but as listeners will know, we always like to pursue a thought-provoking theme and angle on IFA Talk. This week is no exception.
In this insightful conversation, Caitlin outlines not only the crux of the gender pensions gap problem, something she is clearly very passionate about, but also some of the ways in which a multi-faceted approach – with providers, the advice community and government working together – could look to help solve it.
We can live in hope! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this week’s episode.
