If we’re honest, we know that most financial advisers are absolutely brilliant at working ‘in’ their businesses and supporting their clients’ needs in a way that really delivers excellence and a great value service.
But, when it comes to working ‘on’ the business itself – things like marketing – that can be another matter altogether. Whilst such things don’t always come naturally, they’re still crucial for business success.
So, getting to grips with marketing is the subject for this week’s IFA Talk. Sue and Brandon’s guest is Nicola McCoosh. Nicola is founder of Yada Yada Finance, a financial marketing business based in Northern Ireland. It was set up by Nicola – a seasoned marketing professional herself- to help financial services firms to bridge the gap between the needs of the business and needs of the clients which that business serves.
In this week’s conversation, Sue and Brandon talk to Nicola about why it’s so important for advice firms to have a proper marketing strategic plan as well as some of the misconceptions that advisers have when it comes to marketing their businesses. Rounding off this week’s conversation, Nicola reminds us that marketing needn’t cost the earth as she shares practical tips that advice firms can use in order to boost their success at marketing.
