This fund represents an ‘all-in-one’ solution for the Sustainable investor, with an equity range of 20-60% and the remainder in corporate bonds, UK government debt and cash.
GS Emerging Markets Equity ESG fund receives a 3D Fund Certification
In addition to the 3D Impact ratings and certifications awarded to Liontrust, the GS Emerging Markets Equity ESG fund has been certified by 3D investing. Launched in 2018, this is an emerging markets equity fund seeking to deliver long-term capital growth by investing in companies which the manager either considers to be best-in-class in terms of their ESG credentials, or whose ESG profile is improving. A relatively comprehensive exclusions screen is applied to the fund’s universe preventing exposure to any activities that pose significant risk to society and/or the environment. The remaining companies undergo stringent ESG analysis, using a combination of proprietary systems and external analysis, to ensure they at least meet minimum ESG standards and preferably demonstrate high ones. The fund’s focus is on reducing the exposure to the harmful impacts of products, services and operational practices, rather than investing in solutions to social and environmental challenges. This translates into it having a significantly less harmful impact than its 3D benchmark.
