Succession Wealth announces the appointment of Daniel Jones as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions.

Daniel will be a key member of the firm’s senior leadership team, shaping and executing Succession Wealth’s M&A strategy while overseeing all M&A activity, from origination to closure, including the due diligence process. He will report to Steve Willis, Group Finance Director at Succession Wealth.
Daniel joins from PwC’s Financial Services Advisory team, where he led the team’s wealth management advisory offering, working with clients on both the buy and sell side. Before joining PwC, Daniel ran his own brokerage for over four years and, prior to that, advised wealth management firms at one of the UK’s leading sell side brokers.
Daniel’s appointment further strengthens the senior management team at Succession Wealth, as the firm continues to grow under Aviva ownership. In October 2023, it was announced that Dawn Buckingham had joined the firm as Group Operations Director, and Chris Truman as Chief Technology Officer, subject to regulatory approval.
James Stevenson, Succession Wealth CEO, said:
“We are excited to welcome Daniel on board and look forward to him playing a valuable role as part of our overall team who have so successfully identified and integrated high-quality advice businesses into Succession.
“Daniel will bring expertise and additional capacity to continue to deliver our M&A strategy, which remains judicious in pursuing opportunities where we believe there is genuine strategic value for both parties.
“Currently, we are seeing significant interest as firms search for a partner with a proven track record and strong balance sheet.”
Commenting on his appointment, Daniel Jones said:
“M&A in the advice profession has changed significantly in the past 18 months.
“I believe that Succession – with its track record and stability through the backing of Aviva – is a uniquely attractive proposition for truly independent financial planning firms looking for a proposition to evolve their business to the next level for their shareholders, their clients and their teams.”
