Tritax Big Box chairman to retire in May

(Sharecast News) – Tritax Big Box REIT said on Wednesday that Richard Jewson plans to retire as chairman of the company at the next annual meeting in May.
Current senior independent director Aubrey Adams will be appointed as chairman with effect from the AGM. Tritax said he brings more than 40 years of experience at board level in the real estate sector, including part of his executive career as chief executive of Savills for 17 years until 2008.

He is currently group chair of L&Q Housing Trust, one of the largest housing associations in the UK. He previously chaired Max Property Group and was a non-executive director of British Land and senior independent director of Associated British Ports.

“Aubrey combines this extensive experience with his first-hand knowledge and understanding of the business and the manager, having been appointed in September 2017 as non-executive director and in March 2019 as senior independent director,” Tritax said.
