Leading adviser review site, VouchedFor, has turned the announcement of the General Election into a chance to champion the value of expert financial advice with an ad in The Times on Saturday.
The Prime Minister’s announcement last Wednesday – which took place outside Downing Street in the pouring rain – quickly became a popular news story and internet meme, as pundits questioned the decision to brave the Great British weather without an umbrella.
VouchedFor seized the opportunity to encourage consumers to ‘get the right advice when the forecast is uncertain’.
Alex Gibson, Head of Brand at VouchedFor, said, “the upcoming election follows a period of ongoing economic and geo-political instability – it’s hard to think of when Britons have been more in need of expert advice to manage their finances.
“We’re on a mission to help the adviser community deliver an even greater impact for millions of clients. This certainly isn’t a political ad – we just saw an opportunity to reach the 1 million+ readers of The Times with a playful metaphor to show the value of advice.”
Alex Whitson, MD of VouchedFor, added, “this year, more than 2,200 advisers qualified for our 2024 Top Rated Financial Adviser Guide on the basis of their client feedback – despite the industry facing one of its most challenging years last year. It just goes to show how important expert financial advice is for clients.
“We’re committed to do more to champion the value of advice among consumers. Ads like this, and our upcoming regional edition of the Guide in the Mail on Sunday, are evidence of this.”
