David Grunwald, formerly of Farfetch and Google, joins to oversee strategic direction for ARIE Ventures and ARIE Finance
ARIE Finance, one of the world’s first fully regulated, bespoke digital banking and financial ecosystems, has today announced the appointment of David Grunwald as Group Director of Strategy. David will be responsible for corporate and investment strategy at ARIE Ventures, and will also oversee the development of ARIE Finance’s marketplace banking services, strategic partnerships and the creation of ARIE Lab, an incubator for financial technologies that will serve the ARIE platform.
David joins ARIE after three years as a Vice President at Farfetch, a global marketplace and technology platform for luxury, where he built a team focused on startup investments, a technology accelerator, platform strategy and strategic projects including Farfetch’s founding membership of Facebook’s Libra / Diem international cryptocurrency and payments network. Prior to Farfetch, David spent eight years at Google, where he initially helped to build a multibillion-dollar global B2B channel partnerships team and subsequently led startup outreach and worldwide partnerships at Google for Entrepreneurs, a division founded within Google Ventures.

Earlier in his career David founded technology startups and was a strategy consultant in the EMEA digital sector. He is also an active angel investor, and board advisor to marketplace startups.
