The Apprentice runner-up gets his wine company in the spotlight

Cult Wines, which describes itself as the leading fine wine asset manager and run by The Apprentice 2012 runner-up Tom Gearing, has been getting some attention of late.

Following winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, it has been recognised by the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, which placed it 40th.

Gearing (pictured above left), managing director, said: “We’re tremendously proud to be included in the Fast Track 100 for the second time in two years, having placed 40th in 2015. It underlines our ability to grow the company consistently over our 10-year history. I would like to thank our clients and staff in supporting our continued expansion.”

Gearing was also recently included in the prestigious Spear’s Magazine 500 for the second year in a row. “Being recognised by Spears again is testament to our business model, unique approach to this market and the expertise of our whole team – not just myself,” he added.

Chairman Phil Gearing (picture above right) commented: “We have continued to invest in our business and have successfully expanded into new geographies.  It marks the end of a successful 2017 for the business having also placed in the SME Export Track 100 for the second year running in February and winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in April.”
