The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has today announced and also has congratulated all the winners of their Financial Planning Awards 2024. The awards were announced at CISI’s Financial Planning Conference which has been taking place this week at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester.
The CISI’s prestigious awards have a well established history. They reflect both individual excellence – for example in the CFP professional of the year award – as well as firm awards like the Accredited Firm of the Year.
But it is refreshing to see awards such as the Tony Sellon ‘Good Egg’ Award still on the CISI’s radar. This year’s ‘good egg’ award was won by Barry Horner, of Paradigm Norton who is, and we’re pretty sure that all those who know him will agree, is very definitely a ‘good egg’. For so many years, Barry has contributed a massive amount of his time and effort to the development and leadership of Financial Planning as a profession here in the UK. Not only was he a past-President of the Institute of Financial Planning – which merged with the CISI back in 2015 – but has also served as a keen supporter of both the IFP and the CISI in their pursuit of excellence for the financial planning profession at branch level. He has also supported, motivated, inspired and mentored many of his peers working in the profession. Barry will hand over the mantle of CEO of Paradigm Norton to Phillipa Hann in April 2025.
