JM Finn has promoted Todd Babington to head of operations following the retirement of Frank Reardon.
Frank Reardon had served as head of operations for the company for 21 years, prior to his recent retirement. An experienced operator, Frank was a member of the firm’s Operations, Transaction reporting, CASS and Operational Risk committees. He also sat on a variety of external committees during his long career, most recently, the PIMFA Operations Committee. With a team of around 65 people, Frank was very focused on culture and ensuring the whole department worked well together and was particularly delighted when, following the firm’s relocation to their current premises, the entire company sat together on one floor, allowing for far improved integration across teams.
Todd Babington, who assumed the role upon Frank’s retirement, has been with the firm for five years. He initially joined as Trade Operations Manager in 2018 following previous roles at Arbuthnot Latham and HSBC Private Bank during his 17-year career.
Hugo Bedford, CEO of JM Finn commented: “We are hugely grateful to Frank for instilling a team-based and diligent approach to our investment operations, which has helped us develop a high-quality administrative function. His experience and knowledge of the industry has helped us for many years and we wish him well in his retirement.
“I am delighted to be able to promote from within our ranks and wish Todd success in his new role as we look to continue to support the business with an in-house administration that enhances our top-quality client service.”
