What is the essential purpose of EIS?

I

The purpose of EIS is to provide a source for younger and smaller-scale UK companies that are at an early-stage investment, with a high potential of growth.

The Enterprise Investment Scheme has delivered almost £24 billion in funding since its launch 30 years ago, helping 33,000 companies take a step in the right direction of development. By guiding smaller-scale, high potential companies within the UK, the EIS scheme has assisted in producing some of the World’s most innovative and leading firms.
