Being part of a financial advice firm that has a clear mission that you can be proud of is sure to help deliver the best outcomes for an adviser’s clients.
On this week’s podcast, Sue and Brandon speak to Ian MacKendrick and Stephen Farnfield, both Chartered Financial Planners at Paladin Advice, an independent advice firm which is part of Rosemount IFA.
Both Ian and Steve have worked together at previous firms and have come together to focus their energy and expertise towards clients with a range of vulnerabilities. The inspiration for finding this niche within their careers comes from Ian’s disability and Steve’s brother who became disabled through medical negligence, so they really are true experts in their field.
They focus on giving their clients the highest level of support that they need and deserve and so are very careful not to take on too many clients and potentially allow their service levels to diminish. That’s why they want to continue to grow their business, but slowly and with intent to make sure they retain their offering at the level it is.
Before they go, Ian and Steve touch on the ethos and ethics of Paladin and how that drives the business forward and keeps them on track with their ‘your needs above ours’ ethos. The intention is for the business to continue to grow and be successful, which will hopefully help achieve Ian’s goal of giving away £1m to charity over the next 10 years.
An inspiring and interesting talk that shows how those in financial services can really make a difference, especially when they focus on those who need their help and support the most.
